Are you a registered counsellor?
I’m a non-certified Professional Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I also carry liability insurance.
Are your services covered through insurance?
An invoice can be issued after each session to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Do you use CBT and/or DBT principles?
Yes, I am well versed in CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, EFT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy and Pastoral Counselling.
Does your MDiv mean your spiritual beliefs affect how you counsel clients?
I take a holistic approach to spirituality. That means I honor the client’s beliefs and priorities regarding spiritual matters. I do not belong to any organized religion.
How many sessions do you recommend for clients?
Each client’s needs are unique, but usually I work with clients between 4-8 sessions. But there’s no minimum or maximum. We’ll determine together when my usefulness in your life is over.
What is the length of a session?
Each session is approximately 60 minutes.
Is there a difference between in person and virtual fees?
Yes. Virtual sessions are $120. In person sessions are $145.
Do you offer direct billing to insurance companies?
No. A receipt will be issued for you to submit to your insurance company.
